Can I try Counterpoint Studio before paying?
Yes. New accounts can start a 14-day trial. No card is required. If you're evaluating for teaching, choose the Teacher path during signup.
What counts toward my storage?
Only uploaded Images and PDFs count toward your storage limit. Standard includes 5 GB, which is enough for thousands of chord charts and hundreds of PDFs. Teacher includes 20 GB.
How many materials can I create?
Both Standard and Teacher include a soft cap of 2,000 materials to prevent abuse. If you actually approach that limit, get in touch — we treat heavy users as a conversation, not a paywall.
Is annual billing cheaper?
Yes. Paying annually saves roughly 17% — two months free compared to month-to-month.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, anytime. When you cancel, your subscription stays active through the end of the billing period you've already paid for. When that period ends, access to the service ends.
How many students can I have on Teacher?
Teacher includes 30 free student accounts. Students do not need their own subscription — they get access through you. Students who are themselves paying users do not count toward your limit. If you need more than 30, contact us for custom pricing.
Can I import my existing scores?
Yes. Counterpoint Studio supports MusicXML and ABC import, so you can bring in scores from other notation software and start working with them right away.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes. Counterpoint Studio is designed to work on tablets and mobile, including iPad, for practice and performance. Create on your computer, then access your entire repertoire on iPad when you need it.
Is my data safe?
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices and never sell your data. You can export your materials at any time.
